Keith Richards is an English guitarist, songwriter, singer and a founding member of The Rolling Stones in 1962. With Mick Jagger, he has written and recorded numerous hit songs for the Stones including ‘Satisfaction’, ‘Jumpin' Jack Flash’, ‘Miss You’, ‘Start Me Up’, ‘Honky Tonk Women’, ‘Brown Sugar’ and many more.

Richards has derived inspiration from Chuck Berry throughout his career. As a guitarist he is mostly known for his innovative rhythm playing.

In 2003, Rolling Stone magazine ranked Richards No10 in its list of ‘100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time’.

Keith Richards made a cameo appearance as the father of Captain Jack Sparrow (played by Johnny Depp) in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. Depp has stated that he based Sparrow's mannerisms on Richards.
